Long <br />Divfs~on Duecior <br />Re: Rimrock Strip Mine (Permit No. C-89-074) <br />Permit Approval <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 1 <br />Deaz County Commissioners: <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to approve <br />with conditions a renewal application for a coal mining and reclamation pemlit. The application was <br />submitted by Rimrock Coal Co. on Mazch 27, 1995, for the Rimrock Strip Mine. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a <br />formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of this <br />notice by the Division in the Chronicle-News. <br />The surface mine is located approximately 3 miles southeast of Trinidad, Colorado, and is located in <br />portions of the N W I /4 of Section 29, T33S, R63 W of the 6th P.M. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above <br />address and at the Las Animas County Clerk and Recorder's Office.
