The primary purpose for this Technical Revision is to make minor modifications to the boundary of Affected Areas to fully encompass all Permit-related disturbances. The proposed total acreage to be included under the Permit will not be increased and will be maintained at less than 10 acres, as stipulated for 110 (2) permits. In conjunction with this Technical Revision request, the Operator is also proposing minor clarifications in the reclamation plan for the Permit. Background The Operator received the Permit under a Succession of Operator transfer in 1997. The Operator conducted operations at the St. Jude Mine during the period of November 1997 to June 1999. The St. Jude Mine has been on suspended operations status since June 1999. The historical site maps received by the Operator do not fully reflect existing site conditions and have not been updated for many years. Therefore, this Technical Revision is being requested to make minor changes in the Permit boundary to accurately depict site conditions. Boundary Chanee The Operator proposes to adjust the boundary of the Permit at the St. Jude Mine. In reviewing the existing Permit boundary, it was determined by the Operator that areas of past mine-related disturbance have occurred slightly outside the existing Permit boundary. These disturbances occurred under operations conducted by previous operators. The disturbances occurring outside the Permit boundary are minor, and changes to the Permit boundary, as requested herein, are small refinements to completely encompass these past disturbances. A 1" = 100' site map showing the "Proposed Affected Area Boundary" for the St. Jude Mine is enclosed with a separate letter submitted herewith.
