RECEIVED <br />SEP 0 3 2002 <br />Division of Minerals and Cealogy <br />Exhibit D <br />Mining Plan <br />Elbert Gravel Pit Permit #M-85-129 <br />Amendment to 112 Application <br />Location and Setting <br />This is an amendment to expand the size of an existing 112 <br />permit. The pit is located in Elbert County, outside the <br />town of Elbert. It used to be vacant rangeland with a small <br />existing gravel pit, holding a 112 permit. <br />Soil Salvage <br />Prior to disturbing an area, the topsoil will be first stripped <br />for use in reclamation. The depth of the surface soil to be <br />stripped will average about 2-3 inches. <br />Minim Plan <br />It is planned that operations will begin on the middle of the <br />west side. Please see map, starting with letter "A" and <br />follow the arrows as shown on the pre-mining map and <br />mining map. This is anticipated to be a dry mining <br />operation.
