..
Site G is a relatively flat azea where some isolated pegmatites have surfaced. As the slope to the north
is encountered, more mountain mahogany and a few yucca are encountered. The west end has some
aspens. There are several scattered, mature ponderosa pines on this site.
Sites F and Q had the heaviest timber; however, nearly all was destroyed in the fire. These sites were
also more severely burned with some sterilized soils on the slopes.
Site L had moderately heary timber of less than 6 inches diameter. Most of this survived the fire.
Site M is on the crest and sides of a slight knoll. This is largely a grassy area with some yucca,
mountain mahogany, and a few isolated conifers. Fire damage was slight.
Site N is in a draw with mostly scattered ponderosa pine and mountain mahogany. This site is heavily
hand dug.
