Therefor <br />reclamation will be planned with this in mind. <br />H. There is no plan at present to abandon this pit <br />as it is a good source of gravel for road main- <br />tenance. Most of the county roads in this county. <br />,are surfaced with gravel. <br />,. <br />'=..C. The overburden in this pit area is of the Ascalon <br />`~~ Platner-Stoneham Assn. which will support~veg- <br />etation and is in ample supply. ~-`- <br />D. ishen the time comes for reclamation the area <br />rill be graded so that no slopes of more than <br />3:1 will be left. The material graded off the <br />banks will be spread on the floor of the pit <br />and ti•e whole seeded with the following grass <br />mixtures per acre. <br />1. ~ lb. Sand Love Grass <br />2. 3 lbs. Hlue Gramma <br />3. 2 lbs. .;and blue Stern <br />1a.. 1 lb. Switch Grass <br />5. 1 lb. Sweet Glover <br />Just prior to, or at the time of seeding the <br />urea will be treated with 50 lbs. of Nitrogen, <br />per acre. <br />E. There are no trees ar shrubs in the area and none <br />.:, will be needed in the reclamation. <br />F. No sppecial consideration will need be given to <br />rildlife. <br />G. Drainage will not be a problem as the natural <br />slope of the pit floor wilt drain excess rain- <br />fall into the nearby Horse creek valley. There is <br />no subsurface water or groundwater in the pit. <br />
