Cattany <br />Gunnison, Colorado 81230 Division Direttnr <br />/ ~ Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Vader Pit, Permit No. M-9978-287, Approval of Technical Revision TR-02, Change Site v~ <br />Status From Active to Intermittent. <br />Dear Mr. Stewart: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed Valco's request to change the status <br />of the Vader Pit from Active to Intermittent, At staff's request, Valco has submitted an <br />annual weed maintenance plan, which was of primary concern to the Division. Therefore, <br />staff is approving the change of status from active to intermittent. Although mining now <br />may occur as economic conditions dictate, an operator must still submit annual reports <br />and fees as required with an fully active site. Also, the operator stilt has a responsibility to <br />maintain the site in an orderly manner which includes keeping the site clean of debris and <br />weeds.
