Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs
Complete reclamation costs are unknown at this time. It is anticipated that approximately $6
million dollars will be required to develop the surface water storage reservoir. Because
Denver Water is a municipality there is no requirement to post a bond for the reclamation. A
letter, attached to Exhibit L addresses this issue in more detail.
If required, a temporary substitute supply plan for any ground water depletions caused by
evaporation during the transition from a mining pit to surface water storage will be
implemented with appropriate state agencies.
