EXHIBIT G -WATER INFORMATION ~~-~~° ~~9~~
OCT ~ 0 2006
G.1 Summary of West Pit/Farm Water Management oivi5ro~ of R~d~maiioD,
fv,;niny anti Ssi~ty
Key elements of this revised water management plan for the BMRI San Luis Project
include:
• Continued pumping of West Pit well BF-SR with supplemental pumping
from BF-4 and BF-3 as needed to control the ground water level in the
West Pit and prevent ground water outflow to the Rito Seco alluvial
aquifer.
• Continued operation of the Rito Seco alluvial ground water capture wells
M-32 and M-33 to prevent further down gradient migration of affected
ground water.
• Eventual decommissioning of the water treatment plant. Subsequent to
decommissioning of the water treatment plant, water produced by the
West Pit ground water wells and the down gradient capture system will be
conveyed by a new pipeline, located in an existing pipeline corridor, to the
adjacent ranch where the water will be used for crop irrigation on
historically irrigated lands.
• Storage of water from the West Pit wells and ground water capture system
during the non-irrigation season (November through March), in an
engineered, off-stream irrigation pond located on the ranch property.
G.2 Preliminary Irrigation Pipeline and Pond Design
Implementation of this revised water management plan will require modification of
the existing wafer supply pipeline to enable the transfer of irrigation water between
the West Pit and the ranch, construction of an irrigation water storage pond, and
modification to the center pivot irrigation system. The design and operation of these
constructed facilities aze described in detail in the following sections and shown in
the Design Drawings in Appendix D. The level of detail presented in the Design
Drawings and in the following sections is intended to provide a basis for regulatory
review. Upon completion of construction, a report documenting the as-constructed
facilities will be submitted to DRMS. This report will consist of record drawings, a
Battle Mountain Resources, /nc.
