(b) The agricultural grasses present on the upper terrace are found primazily in the SCS soils <br />type Dahlquist-Southace soils complex, 6 to 12 percent slopes and in the Mussel Loam, <br />with 1 to 6 percent slopes. The shrubland found on the steep slope from the upper terrace <br />to the lower terrace is in the Dahlquist-Southace soils complex,with 25 to 50 percent <br />slopes. The lower floodplain terrace, including the wet meadows and shrubby wetlands, <br />are in the Fluvaquents soils type with 0 to ] 0 percent slopes. <br />(c) According to the "United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service: <br />Soil Survey of Aspen-Gypsum Area, Colorado", 1992, Mussel Loam is the only on-site <br />soil commonly used for agricultural purpose. The land capability class for imgated <br />Mussel Loam is IVe and yields per acre of crops are: <br />Alfalfa hay = 5.0 tons/acre <br />Grass hay = 4.0 tons/acre <br />
