The crushed and screened material will then be <br />loaded, transported and stockpiled in the staging area where rt will be used in asphalt and concrete production, <br />or hauled to a construction site for use. Each phase includes a layer of sand and gravel up to 25 feet thick. <br />Gravel extractan occurs in appro>omately 20 foot lifts until the underlying bedrock stratum has been reached <br />CRUSHING AND STOCKPILE ARF1vS -The excavated gravel resource a crushed and stockpiled according to <br />size near the mining area Mawmum processing is approwmately 3.000 tons per day Since a portable: Gusher <br />s used, the locatbn of the crushing operatgn changes as the mining proceeds across each of the mining <br />areas. As much as 30,000 tons of used asphalt pavement and concrete rubble rs also stockpiled within the <br />staging area for future crushing. Once the asphalt and concrete rs crushed to rts proper s¢e. it is stockpiled for <br />use as a recycled material in new consVuction Occasbnally, sod that has been determned to be free of debris <br />and inert may be brought to the site and stockpiled for use in constructan related activities or, for the <br />reclamatbn eNorts. <br />
