JAM l 198
M, IN 'D LAND%
RECLAMATION 0iV1S10N
the reclamation/abandonment for the drill sites and holes .
In addition, IRI/WRC ' s 112 regular mining permit (CMLRD)
number M-83-194 may cover the reclamation and abandonment of
the drill sites and drill holes as well .
Another important point is the BLM has assumed all
responsibilities for drill holes and sites MMC-IRI-9 and 10
which are currently included in IRI/WRC ' s one site
prospecting bond * 5185836. This is documented in the
enclosed BLM letter dated October 11 , 1983 .
In addition , all of the drill sites and associated
roads listed in the one site prospecting bonds have been
fully recontoured, seeded and reclaimed. Most of the drill
sites have been reclaimed since 1982 .
As indicated above, IRI/WRC is at least under a double
bonding situation and may even be encumbered by a triple
bonding situation for the same drill sites and drill holes .
We feel that the double/triple bonding situation is onerous
and there is no logical need or reason to be bonded up to
three times for the same drill site/hole. We also feel there
is no need to have a bond for 2 wells for which the BLM is
and will be responsible.
In light of the aforementioned information and since
IRI/WRC is presently bonded at $5, 000 . 00 per hole/site with
the BLM for complete reclamation and drill hole abandonment ,
we are requesting that the CMLRD release and return all three
one site prospecting bonds .
We would appreciate your immediate attention regarding
this issue. Please feel free to contact me directly should
any questions or comments arise. Thank you for your
consideration and time concerning this situation .
Sincerely,
Jerry Daub , P. G.
President
GJD: jd
cc: H. Campbell
R. Day
M. Jones
E . Rosar
