Mr. Tom Schreiner
January 25, 2006
Page 2
~~
Conclusions CIVIL R E S'aJU R C E S, L L C
Figure t shows the location of the monitoring wells and the groundwater contours measured during the
November sampling event. The gradient is northwest toward the South Platte River.
The first quarter of sampling indicates that PDWS are exceeded for fecal coliform and nitrates (as N). Fecal
coliform was measured in monitoring wells CRMW-2, 4, 6, 7 and 41 which span the full length of the site
from north to south. Nitrate (as N) exceeds PDWS consistently across the site typically ranging from 15 to
30 milligrams per liter. SDWS including TDS (700 to 1,000 milligrams per liter, typical) and Total Iron (0.5 to
1 milligrams per Irter, typical) were also consistently exceeded across the site in each of the sampling
events. Phosphate, arsenic, chlorinated pesticides (8081), herbicides (8151) and petroleum testing (8015
modified and 8021) were not detected in any of the samples tested in the November and December
sampling events.
The results of the first quarter sampling event are consistent with anticipated results when the GWSAP was
developed. Further sampling will be completed in April consistent with the approved GWSAP.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
CIVIL RESOU~RCES~, LLC =~J~/.~,~-
Brad L.
