WATER INFORMATION EXHIBIT G
The operation is not expected to encounter any groundwater in the mining processes. It is planned
to be a dry operation and no water will be used during the actual mining operation. The only
water needs for operation will be for dust mitigation in the processing plants and on roads. This
water will be supplied by irrigation ditches or wells on the Cugnini property supplying a portable
water tank that will be located on the site. Cugnini has the water rights to supply this tank. If
groundwater is exposed during mining, the owner will either proceed to obtain the proper water
rights or will immediately backfill any groundwater exposure.
The water table level fluctuates with the seasons with the average depth of the water table being
unknown. The lowest point would be during the months of February, March, April and May and
the high point being during summer months. The maximum rise appears to follow spring runaff
and the irrigation of the surrounding pasture lands. In the limited Permit area currently being
mined, no appreciable groundwater was discovered.
It is planned that the pit will be mined during the months of Mazch through September with some
possible year round work As mentioned before; the pit will be dry mined. The existing irrigation
ditches on the operation site will be avoided during mining to avoid disruption of the imgated
pastures.
1'he following table shows the estimated amount and uses for water in this operation. Until
operations begin and all equipment is in use, we will not know actual consumption. Water usage
through dust control associated with the crushing screening plant is 4% of the tonnage throughput.
The total estimated water consumption during mining will be 20.15 acre-feet.
Cugnini 12/(?3 27
