INTRODUCTION
The Cugnini Pit is located approximately 13 miles south-southeast of the town of Durango, Colorado
irl La Plata County. The pit has been mined since the 19?0's and vas initially pel3:litted as 110
operation of 8.03 acres by P.L. Cugnini. The projected orginal contours can be seen on Map C-1. It
was re-permitted as a 112 operation in 1986 (Permit Number M-86-061) by P. L. Cugnini. Cpperation
of the pit was transferred to Gosney and Sons in 1993. The intent of this 2003
amendment is to address the DMG's concerns involving the permit boundary and storm water control
as well as add a small mining azea to the plan. The
mining plan and storm water plans will be changed to reflect the intentions of Four Comers
Materials.
