Long
Diviswn Dueaor
Your request to end the usage of hydrogen peroxide in the collection pond at the San Luis
Project is hereby approved.
Pursuant to condition number 2 of the Division's approval letter dated January 11, 1993,
BMRI was to continue using hydrogen peroxide, or other Division approved collection pond
treatment system, until cyanide levels of the water at the dischazge pipe(s) from the tailings
dam reaches peRnit standards and cessation is approved by the Division. The data you
provided is sufficient demonstration that cyanide levels have been below permit standazds
since September 14, 1994.
