Commitment number 1, copy attached, stated that Florence
Sand and Gravel will prepare and submit (within 90-days) a replacement reclamation plan map
and an interim drainage plan that shows how runoff from disturbed areas, piled material and
operation surface will be managed. The maps were to be submitted to the Division by September
14, 1997. The files do not contain either map so it is assumed that they were never submitted. If
you have documentation showing that they were submitted to the Division please submit copies
so the Division can update the files and abate the commitment. If the maps were never submitted,
you need to submit them within 30-days (by July 22, 2004) so the commitment can be abated.
Failure to submit the required documents, or provide evidence showing that the maps have
already been submitted, could result in the issuance of a Reason to Believe letter for failure to
comply with permit conditions.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 303-866-4060.
Sincerely,
~~
`lames Dillie
Environmental Protection Specialist
oc: Harry Posey (e-mail)
Enclosure
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
