Cattany <br />Re: Nofice of Pre-Hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing, Aggregate Industries -WCR, Inc., Cooleyoivision Director <br />Reservoir and Fulton Wildlife Area, Permit No. M-1999-034, Amendment Application No. 1 (AM-1) Natural Resource Trustee <br />Dear Mr. Fleming: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is reviewing an amendment application by Aggregate Industdes - <br />WCR, Inc. to add 50.21 acres to the above permit area. Because we have received objections to the application, we <br />aze scheduling the matter for a final decision at a Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. <br />In accordance with the Constmction Materials Rules and Regulations Section 2.7, the Division has scheduled aPre- <br />Hearing Conference for May 27,2003. The conference will be held at 2:00 pm in room 623A, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver Colorado. Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as the Pre-Hearing Conference Officer. Tom Roan will be <br />present as attorney for the Boazd. The purpose of the conference is to describe the Division's review process; <br />explain We rights and responsibilities of parties; discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible; describe the Boazd <br />Heazing process; determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to deternine who has demonstrated <br />standing to be a party to the Fomtal Public Hearing. <br />The Formal Public Hearing for Boatd Consideration of the Amendment Application will be conducted during the <br />Board's June 24-25, 2003 meeting in Room 318, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado, commencing at 10:00 <br />a.m, or as soon dtereafter as the matter can be heard. <br />Please review the enclosed informational memo, dated October 2, 2001 "Citizen Participation in the 112 <br />Reclamation Permit Application Process, as revised October 19,2001." Complete either of the forms on the last two <br />pages, if one is applicable to you, and return it to me at the address on the letterhead or bring it [o the Pre-Hearing <br />Conference. <br />On or before June 12, 2003, the Division will issue to the Board a Recommendation and Rationale for approval or <br />denial of the amendment application.
