Box 39
H~~, co 80821
(719) 743-2815 fax
The Division of Minerals & Geology identified a problem /and or possible violations
during their 02/03/00 inspection. Corrective action recommended includes:
Original reclamation plan indicated positive drainage out of the pit azea. Excavation
of the mined area failed to allow for precipitation to exit the pit and collection of
precipitation may now occur. This technical revision requests the original
reclamation plan to be changed to state possible collection of precipitation in the
previously mined area will occur occasionally. Please refer to enclosed map showing
relation of mined area to surrounding topography.
2. Corrective action by Lincoln County included seeding of the sloped area on 03/13/00
as recommended by the recent inspection visit.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the above number.
Sincerel ,
•~ , "" ~~~,rr
Pete Aragon
Land Use Administrator
Enclosures:
Post-mining topography map
