help prevent run off should natural gowth not occur with in the fvst year. 1f needed the stockpiles will be seeded with western wheat, or intermediate wheat gals fairway crested wheat Bass, or other plantings as recommended by the NRCS to stabilize these stockpiles salvaged, to include any topsoil that may be imported into the pit area for use in reclamation. Mining will consist of scraping material up with a bulldozer or anend-loader into piles to be loaded onto trucks to be transported off site, as this is a pit operation. Mining will be in an east to northeast dvection to help take some of the steep slopes down that are part of the old pit area and yet maintain the 3:1 sloping or less leaving a longer gentler slop for reclamation. Material in the area is deep and will last for at least another 20 years. None of the area of the old pit on the west side will be disturbed, but part of the old pit on the east side will be used. There are terraces on the upper part of the new east boundary to divert water and hold it from running down the steep hill, as well as a catch terrace on the south outer edge of the pit. These terraces will not be disturbed during mining and any disturbance causing more water to be dvected towazd them foreseen as a problem will be abated by placing a berm on the edge of the pit to avoid any storm event from over burdening the purpose of these terraces and directing run off into the pit itself. No water will be used or will any Bound water be contacted. Water will be held in the bottom of the pit in two water-holding areas for use as a watering source for livestock and wildlife. EXHIBIT D Reclamation Plan The original reclamation plan along with a technical revision is part of the original permit and included with this request. Missing from both the original reclamation plan and technical revision is the fact that topsoil will have to be imported in order to complete reclamation along with augmenting the area as recommended by the NRCS, as well as their requirements of type and amount of seed to plant. Lincoln County may also incorporate the use of terracing to help knock down the steep slopes now present. This will be explored as removal of material progesses. EXHIBIT F Other permits required The only other permit required is the A.P.E.N and is included with this filing. EXHIBIT H Municipalities There are no municipalities within two (2) miles of the operation. EXHIBIT L Permanent Man-Made Structures There are no man-made structures within 200 feet, nor will any be erected on the site.
