EXHIBTT E -Reclamation Plan
Currently the land is listed as Range Land with the reclamation to return the property to
range land. Because of new developments it is proposed that two reclamations plans be
placed on the application.
Plan 1 - Reclaim to Range Land
As each pit or cut is backfilled, it will be graded to match the surrounding topography.
Average slopes will not exceed 3:1.
Topsoil in the azea vazies in depth from 2 inches to 2 feet. Sufficient topsoil will be
salvaged from the disturbed azeas to provide a cover of 6 inches. The topsoil will be
stored in long, narrow windrows to provide a better growth medium for microorganisms.
The proposed re-seeding rates are for drilling and will be doubled if broadcast on
disturbed areas. The following seed mixture is proposed:
SPECIES RATE*
Arizona Fescue 1.5
Pubescent Wheat grass 3.0
Hazd Fescue 1.0
Western Wheat grass 3.0
Western Yarrow 5
Rocky Mountain Penstomen 5
Russian Wild rye 2.0
*Seed rate in pounds of pure live seed.
11.5
Plan 2 -Water Storage Facile
With this plan each azea would be dug as a pit, leaving all walls natural ground thus
creating an area that could be used to store water. This project is currently being
reviewed by the Center of Colorado Water Conservancy District and no further
engineering has been performed as of yet.
