RECEIVED
C.R. Evans / APR 1 3 2004 /
231 Nyberg Road Division ~f Minerals and Geology
Pueblo, CO 81006 ~' O
March 31, 2004
Division of Minerals & Geology
Attn: Jim Dilly
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Technical Revision for Permit No. M-2000-041, Evans Pit #2
Dear Mr. Dilly,
~p~ ~~~~
A$er our conversation regazding the technical revision to the above-mentioned permit, I
spoke with Mr. Evans and the operator for Mr. Evans. They would like to stay with the
existing mine plan set forth in the original permit, for the pit to be approximately 15 acres
with an additiona160 acres to be used in the backfill process if needed. In the end result,
our best intentions aze the have the augmentation plan in place within two to three yeazs,
which would lower the bond, due to backfilling of the pit would not be necessary if a
permanent augmentation plan is in place.
The site still has approximately 400,000 tons of material to process before the 15 acre pit
is completed. The disturbed acreage at this time includes stockpiles, and the area to set
processing equipment.
Mr. Evans would like to cancel the technical revision and leave the mine plan as the
original mine plan at this time. If in the future Mr. Evans would like to look into revising
the mine plan, then a new technical revision will be submitted. I hope this meets with
your approval.
Please call Denise Gonzales at 719-275-1280 if you have any questions. Thank you for
your assistance with this matter.
Respectfully,
~~
e~nzales
C.c. C.R. Evans, Land Owner
