We are requesting this revision to bring the reclamation plan into better agreement with the
permitted end land use and the curtent zoning of the property.
The current reclamation plan calls for the creation of a groundwater lake with two islands. The current end land use
and zoning are for industriall commercial property. These two, the groundwater lake and the industrial end use, do
not seem to be mutually compatible. We are requesting to revise [he reclamation plan to allow the backfilling of the
site and eliminate the groundwater lake.
Material to backfill the area will come from on-site. Excess un-marketable sand fines and lime overburden materials
will be the materials used for backfilling. No construction debris or other inert fill will be used. Backfill materials
will be placed in the pit as mining progresses.
Grading wilt create a relatively flat site, sloping gently toward the Big Thompson River. Topsoil will be placed over
the entire site and the disturbance area seeded with the current seed mix for stabilization until industrial or
commercial development takes place on the site.
After consultation with you, we are submitting this TR with amendment notifications. Attached are the proof of
notification to the County Commissioners and local Soil Conservation District. Also included is proof of placing with
the County Clerk or Recorder. We will supply you with the proof of publication and notification of the adjacent
landowners within 200 feet of the affected area aRer we publish the notice.
Thank you for your timely review of this request.
