The south permit distance had been corrected on all maps previously submitted to
reflect the distance of 2,206 feet. Copies of corrected maps are enclosed.
2. In re-examining Exhibit "D", Mining Plan Information, I didn't address the mining
depth of pit area. In the process of digging test holes we found some areas with a layer of
sandyloam and small gravel that we could use as binder material. We will mine to a depth
of 20' to 25' average. Final elevation at 4,366' <>.
3. In talking with personnel of the County Road & bridge Department, that has been
employed with Otero County 3s to 40 years, it is indicated that local farmers hauled for
personal use out of the mentioned pit azea prior to the county moving into the permitted
area.
4 & 5. Exhibit "E" (Rule 3.1.11) - I failed to narrarate this section and referred to Exhibit
`S', a letter of agreement with the Power Company. This agreement did not address
compensation damages. This has been corrected and notarized agreement is enclosed.
6. I have been employed with Otero County Engineer Office for eighteen years, and
cannot recall any complaints or problems that have occurred in this time Crame. The
County has a 7,600 gallon and a 4,000 gallon tanker that would be used if a health or
safety situation should occur for processing of daily operations. The city of Rocky Ford
will supply the water and is located approximately two miles form the Pit Area.
P.O. Box s 1 ]
La Junta, CO 81060
(719)383-3036 Fax (719)383-3090
