~~C~IVE®
06/28/05
/ JUL 0 5 y005
Mi. Alan SOieriSOn ~~>V Oivisian of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street
Room # 215 /
Denver, CO.80203 Re: Permit # M-77-526 /
Al Frei & Sons, Worthing Gravel pit Expansion
Deaz Mr Sorenson,
Thank you for your recent telephone call concerning the above project. We received a letter
from, Greystone, with a copy of your rules and regulations. This letter was written on June 22,
2005-and mailed by certified mail on that date: (Copy enclosed) We received the letter on June
24, 2005. In your Notice, it says that Final date for Comments would be June, 20, 2005.
As you said in our telephone conversation, because of this mistake, you would extend this )/
deadline another 30 days. You also wanted to know our thoughts and concerns about this change
of the operation.
We have been in business here for 25 years. We produce the highest quality drinking water
in the State of Colorado. Through the years, we have become good friends of Al Frei and family.
The Frei's have been very good neighbors to us and we have the utmost respect for them.
The following are how adverse factors have affected our business. We have a very deep and
expensive commercial well which produces excellent quality water. This Water has become very
sought after by many health conscience people of the community. The complete protection of
this investment is essential for our survival.
Adverse factors which have affected our business:
1. Excessive big truck traffic.
2. Increase in excessive dust.
3. Increase in noise because of rock crusher, tumblers, etc.
4. Possible damage to underground aquifer.
5. Damage to property value of a beautiful place.
Thank you for your help.
Gr~+re Russell, SBA cc: Greystone
The Fountain of ealth .~
13185 Brighton Road
Brighton, CO. 80601
303-659-0800
