7 Recommendations
Based on the evaluation presented in this report the fallowing recommendations are provided.
• Groundwater levels in the upgradient monitoring wells have not sustained a groundwater
level of two (2) feet or less below the natural ground surface for a period of three weeks,
therefore installation of a french drain system to reduce groundwater mounding is not
warranted at this time.
• Considering that the groundwater level changes observed beneath the Roe and Martin
properties are less than the 2-foot groundwater Level decrease below the seasonal low
water level condition incorporated in the Stegner Farm mining permit for areas
downgradient of the slurry wall, no mitigation of the groundwater depression southeast of
the slurry wall is warranted at this time.
• It is recommended that the groundwater level monitoring program be continued as set
forth in the mining permit.
18
