As I understand, you <br />are preparing submittals to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation [3oard <br />for the three areas. The following information relates to the sites. <br />i. Pierce Site: The subject property is located in the W'--; <br />of Section 7, TBN, R65W. The current gravel operation is <br />a legal non-conforming use and as such can continue <br />operation with no further County action required. Based <br />upon my information, the proposed application does not <br />exceed the boundaries of the aGCepted non-conforming usc~ <br />area and therefore will not be constituted as an <br />expansion. <br />2. I:oenig Site: The subject property is located in the SK'., <br />of Section 18, T2N, R66W and the SEq of Section 13, T2h, <br />R67W. That portion of the site located in Section 18 <br />has been approved for gravel extraction by the County. <br />The portion of. the site located in Section 13 has hot <br />at this time had appropriate approval by the County to <br />permit gravel extraction. <br />The location in Section 13 is currently zoned "A" Agri- <br />cultural. Said zone district does permit surface mine <br />activity upon approval of appropriate permits. Further, <br />the location is identified as being within the "Resource <br />
