The report presented tF,e
results of the required studies associated with hydrology, particularly stipulations 15 of
the New Elk and 13 of the Golden Eagle Permits. Pages 26 through 25 of the report
present an evaluation of the 1984 program and modifications which are proposed for 1985.
The modifications include eliminating certain monitoring stations, decreasing the
frequency of monitoring at certain stations, increasing the frequency of monitoring at
tertian stations, and decreasing the list of water chemistry parameters to be analyzed for
each station. The above referenced pages are attached. The modifications to the
program which we are requesting will affect the sampling effort during quarterly
samplings. Please accept this as a formal request for a revision to our permit. Our
second quarter sampling is planned for May and we would like to proceed with the
program as written. Your earliest consideration and approval of the program would be
appreciated.
Should you need additional information concerning the 1985 hydrological monitoring
program or have questions on our First Quarter 1985 Report, please let us know.
Sincere~y,
~~r~.
David M.
