Q ~L~~7 ~D ~~ ~/~.
October 31, 2006
Division of Minerals and Geology
/~~
f U L ~llt(tt~
Lisa and Mazk Mirabito
P.O. Box 571
443 CR 631
Granby, CO 80446
`' :s,
.=e.edy
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing in regazds to the amendment application permit (# M-1983- 02)
for the Thompson Gravel Pit. The future of the wells in the azea is a huge concern of
mine and with all the neighbors. Most of the wells are only 55 to 75 feet deep. We aze
all very concerned about possible contamination, and the possibility of the pit digging
into the ground water. We also know that in the event of hitting the ground water, it
could be catastrophic to our water supply. Another concern of ours is the rights to the
water in which the pit plans to use as wash water for washing gravel. We would like to
see this permit be denied, however of it is approved we would like these issues addressed
before this permit is considered for approval. It seems really unfair to us that this pit
might be approved in a residential azea, which is a platted subdivision with homes all
around the proposed azea. We all feel that the ground water supply will be jeopazdized if
this is approved. There aze just too many questions and no concrete answers to our
concerns. 'T'hank you for your time.
Mark and Lisa Mirabito
Bill and Jill Hansen
Bill and Shazon Spurlin
Dick and Yolanda Prather
Bill Goodwin
r~cv~ ~~~
