Climate in the study reach is characterized by water
slimmer days with an average daily maximum of 89° in July and
an average daily minimum of 9° in January. The average
annual temperature is 48.3°. Humidity is low throughout the
year. Precipitation in the study reach averages 11 inches
per year, the greatest amount falling between April and
July.
The evaporation in the area is moderately high because
of the low humidity, high percentage of sunshine days and
thin atmosphere. The closest weather station with evaporation
data is Fort Collins. These data are summarized oii the

Findings of fact for approval of augmentation (Case No.
W-8283-76) to the Water Court of Water .Division No. 1 for an
area located three miles South, Nk of_Section 21, Township 5
North, Range 65 West, in Weld County estimates the annual
evaporation of water.from a proposed 21.5 acre gravel pit
lake to be 52 acre feet (29 inches per year).
Inpact and Reclamation
The mining operation and completed reclamation plan
will have no impact on the climate in the area.
