Sunnyside Creek originates at <br />Sunnyside Lake in the White River National Forest. The elevation range within the site is from 2400 to 2553 <br />m {8000 to 8510 ft). It enters the moderately narrow floodplain and flows southward to its confluence with the <br />Colorado River. The site is a 3.2 km (2 mi) stretch along Sunnyside Creek that supports a narrow band of <br />willow.
