This will
cover any reclamation work that might be required if we didn't satisfactorily self reclaim
small surface disturbances caused by our current surface diamond drill programs. We plan
to diamond drill from the surface on our patented claims up to 25 holes this year from
various locations. The drill sites require disturbance of an area approximately 20' x 20' or
400 square feet. Occasionally we clean-up and make old roadways more accessible for
servicing the drill and allowing crew access. Any surface disturbance caused by this work
will be fully reclaimed by our crews upon completion of each drill site location within two
to four weeks after the drilling has stopped. The drill sites are kept clean during drilling.
Oils sorbent rags are used to catch any drops of oil that may drip from the core rig. Trash
is stored in a proper can and collected as required. Sediment trenches and catch basins are
built to catch any drill cuttings. These cuttings will be transported to our ore storage area
upon completion of the drill sites. Drill sites and access roads will be placed back into their
original contour with a hydraulic excavator or back hoe. Rocks will be placed to resemble
the original character of the land. Top soil will be spread and raked as required and
seeding with a native seed mix will follow. Tree seedlings will be planted if any trees are
disturbed. We have asked the drill contractor to place a muffler on the drill to help keep
sound levels at a minimum. Upon completion of the MP 1 - 10 drill hole program and
reclamation program, I would like to invite you and your staff up to inspect our
reclamation work.
In addition to our self reclamation work on the 1994 surface drill sites, we will
complete construction on our zeolite filtration systems at the Cross and Caribou Mines at
a cost of approximately $25,000.00. Construction work has already commenced on these
programs with a completion date of August 15, 1994. We have also commenced work on
our Storm water permit. Shortly the Division will receive from me a progress report
update on this work. We have hired Walsh and Associates in Boulder, Colo. to help us
monitor the permit requirements for Storm water. Because we were unable to ship our
small ore stockpile to the Virginia Canyon Mill, the entire pile was leveled into the secured
storage area at the Cross Mine surface plant. The ore is being covered with 3/4" road base
to prevent any water runoff from accessing the ore and it is now in a very stable
containment area. Careful bulk sampling and mapping of the tunnel level Apache vein was
Mailing Address: Post Office Box 653-Caribou • Nederland.Colorado 80466-0653
Phone:Office 303-443-1502 Mine 303-258-3806 Fax #303-258-0402
I
