July 6, 2004
G&H PN: 03-039
Environment, Inc.
Steve O' Brian
7985 Vance Drive, Suite 205A
Arvada, CO 80003
Dear Steve,
In February 2004 f was requested by Paul Chavoustie to visit the County assessors office and obtain
a copy of the surrounding owner's names, addressed and parcel numbers.
During the visit, the assessor's office noticed a conflict between the GIS database information and the
hard copy assessors map information on the surrounding parcels. The digital tax map for 1451 T1N
R76W had a parcel number of 006 while the hard copies parcel number read 056. Parcel number
056 did not show up in the assessor's records so Grand County gave me a copy of Parcel number
1451-112-00-006 that represented the southern boundary owner for the gravel pit. Numerous deeds
exist for this parcel and, due to the limited research included in our contract with the client, no
additional research was preformed and the Pre-Mining Plan Map and Exhibit C was designed using
the provided information.
In June 2004 Paula stopped by the office and stated that she was the southem property owner and
that she was not notified for the State permit. A call to Grand Couhty was made and, after an hour of
discussing the issue with County Staff and the County Assessor, the County gave me a hew parcel
number that matched Paula's name and physical location of her property: Attached is a new copy of
the Pre-Mining Plan Map and Exhibit C with the updated Parcel Numbers.
Please contact me if you need turther clarification on this issue.
Regards,
Gagnon & Ha ne Consulting Engineers, Inc.
Michael S.
