EXHIBTI' S -PERMANENT MAN -MADE STRUCTRES
There are two matunade structures within 200 feet of the pemut area. The structures are
the Templeton Irrigation Ditch and the Mt. Elbert Conduit. The ditch lays up gradient of
the preset permit area approximately 75 feet. The Conduit lays up gradient from the pit
approximately 1500'.
The ditch lies within the amended permit area. The initial mining plan is to protect the
ditch. Mining will occur from the northwest end of the current pit and proceed westerly
along the ditch leaving a buffer zone of 15-20 ft with a slope from the ditch down to the
pit floor of no more than 4:1 slope (h:v).
Lake County has notified all ditch and water right owners of record for the Templeton
Ditch. A copy of that letter is attached.
The Mt. Elbert Conduit is located in the south west comer of the proposed expansion
Lake County plans to leave a 250' buffer zone between the conduit and the area of
excavation
Lake Cou~y has notified the Bureau of Reclamation, about the expansion. As of this
date, the BOR has not responded.
