EXHIBTT D -MINING PLAN
Mining operations will continue as in the past with the aggregate removal by bulldozer
and front-end loaders. The front-end loader will load the portable crusher. Trees will be
removed and topsoil will be stripped to a depth of 0 to 16 inches and will be moved to a
storage area to the east of the existing permitted azea This storage area is included in the
amendment permit area of disturbance.
Aggregate extraction operations in the future will continue from the present pit location,
in Section 7, with the extraction face progressing west towazds the new westerly permit
boundary. Since the current pit has been in operation for over thirty years, we anticipate
that the amendment permit will be sufficient for many years of operation. Lake County
owns approximately 385 acres of land surrounding the area to be permitted on three sides
and V. Paul Moltz (Pine Ridge Pit #M-81-303) is the only other property owner within
200 feet of the Lake County permitted area. There are no pemranent structures on site or
within 200 feet of the property.
The topsoil removed for mining operations (0 to 16 inch depth) and present topsoil
storage on the perimeter of the existing pit will be relocated to storage areas east of the
existing pit as show on the new drawing
