The City is requesting that the above referenced mining permit be closed. The City owns some
of the property that is covered by Mining Permit No. M1977184 as indicated on the attached property
map. We are satisfied with the reclamation that has been completed and request that the Division of
Minerals and Geology release the reclamation in "as is condition." The City will not hold the State of
Colorado or the Division of Minerals and Geology responsible or liable for any further reclamation.
The City in partnership with the US Army Corps of Engineers has plans for further more extensive
reclamation of the portion of land owned by the City. (See attached conceptual plan.) I have attached
letters from the other two property owners that state their support for• the release and closing the permit.
Both owners have plans to develop their land in the future as office parks, at which time their sites will
be completely landscaped.
Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
Respectfully,
Mark Seazs
Natural Areas Program Manager
Natural Resources Department
City of Fort Collins
C00/LOOIaJ ~,L4 - NVN33N 8989C690L8$ 94~OT TO/8t/tt
