We were contacted since an 89.96-acre parcel, including Phases
X and Y and a portion of Phase 1, was purchased by our agency on behalf of the Endangered Fish
Recovery Program and is pending transfer of jurisdiction to the BLM. The remaining pond area in Phase
1 is public land administered by BLM.
We have reviewed Whitewater's proposed revisions regarding the new area to be seeded and BLM's
recommended seed mix which is referenced in BLM's July 29, 2004, letter to Whitewater. We have also
discussed the matter with BLM and are in agreement with the proposed revisions.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at 248-0649.
Sincerely,
cc: Mr. Ed Gardner
Whitewater Building Materials
940 South Tenth Street
Grand Junction, CO 81501
Mr. Al Pfister
Fish and Wildlife Service
764 Horizon Drive
Grand Junction CO 81506
Ms. Robin Lacy
Bureau of Land Management
2815 H Road
Grand Junction CO 81506
~'~D~~~----
Kathleen Ozga
Lands and Rec,*eation Group ChieF
