Dear County Recorder's Office:

United Companies is submitting an Application to the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board for an Amendment to a Reclamation Permit for an existing gravel pit
(Delta Sand and Gravel Pit # 1, M-1977-020) located in Delta County. The proposed
Permit Amendment is located approximately 1.1 miles east of the intersection of US
Highway 50 and State Highway 92.
Among the requirements specified by the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology for
filing this Amendment application is that United Companies place a copy of the
Amendment application at the Delta County Clerk and Recorder's office at the time that
the application is filed with the Mined Land Reclamation Board. The copy of the
Reclamation Permit application placed at the Recorder's office is for review by the
public. The copy of the Amendment # 3 application that is attached to this letter is the
required copy.
Also required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board is proof that a copy of the
permit application was placed at the Delta County Clerk and Recorder's office. Please
sign and date each of the two copies of this letter. United Companies will use one of these
signed letters as proof of service of this notification. The other copy is for your records.
