Structure excavation, structure backfill, and bed course <br /> 643 material will not be measured but will be the quantities designated in the Contract. When field <br />' 644 changes are ordered or when there aze errors on the plans, quantities will be measured as follows: <br /> 645 <br /> 646 (a) For bridges and irregulaz shaped structures, quantities will be computed to neat lines 18 <br />' 647 inches outside and pazallel to the outline of the revised foundation plan or as shown on the <br /> 648 plans. <br /> 649 <br /> 650 (b) For pipes, a profile will be made along the bottom of the center line extending 18 inches <br /> 651 beyond the end of the structure, including end sections. Material excavated between this <br />' 652 profile and a profile 1 foot above the top of the pipe will not be measured for payment, but <br /> 653 shall be included in the bid price for the pipe. In excavation sections the area above the <br /> 654 profile 1 foot above the top of the pipe and below the limits of roadway excavation will be <br />' 655 multiplied by the width shown on the plans to obtain the volume of structure excavation <br /> 656 measured for payment. In embankment sections the area above the profile 1 foot above the <br /> 657 top of the pipe and below the natural ground will be multiplied by the width shown on the <br /> 658 plans to obtain the volume of structure excavation measured for payment. <br /> 659 <br /> 660 (c) Backfill and filter material will be the calculated volume of material lying within the prism <br />' 661 shown on the plans, from which shall be deducted the volume occupied by the structure. <br /> 662 <br /> 663 (d) Bed course material will be the calculated volume of material lying within the prism shown <br /> b64 on the plans. <br /> 665 <br /> 666 206.07 Basis of Payment. The accepted quantities will be paid for at the contract unit price <br /> 667 for each of the pay items listed below that appear in the bid schedule. <br /> 668 <br /> 664 Payment will be made under: <br /> 670 <br /> 671 Pay Item Pay Unit <br /> 672 Structure Excavation Cubic Yard <br />' 673 Structure Backfill (Class) Cubic Yazd <br /> 674 Structure Backfill (Flow-fill) Cubic Yard <br /> 675 Bed Course Material Cubic Yazd <br />' 676 Filter Material (Class) Cubic Yard <br /> 677 <br />' 678 Compaction, water, and all other work necessary to complete the above items will not be <br /> 679 measured and paid for sepazately but shall be included in the work. Structure backfill, including <br /> 680 bed course material, for pipes and end sections will not be measured and paid for separately, but <br />' 681 shall be included in the work.
