Box 21588 <br />Denver, CO 80221-0588 <br />Re: Hydraulic and Hydrology assessment <br />Deaz Mr. Leidich: <br />Attached for your review is the proposed channel design for the Rittenhouse Property <br />pazcel of the proposed Lafarge gravel mine operations in Weld County, Colorado. The <br />attached calculations include hydrology and hydraulic calculations relevant to designing a <br />diversion channel for the 100-yeaz storm event, pursuant to the requirements set forth in <br />the proposal dated September 20, 2004. <br />The channel shall be a grass-lined trapezoidal channel with a 10-foot bottom width, a a- <br />foot depth, and 4H:1 V sideslopes_ The channel's longitudinal slope will approximate the <br />existing slope along the proposed channel alignment, at 0.3% minimum slope.
