<br />PERMIT APPLICATION <br />REGULAR 112 (AMMENDMENT) <br />GEOTECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT <br />"I'he applicant does not Foresee any stability issues related to the proposed mining activities <br />or affected aeeas. No highwalls, waste piles or empoundments will be created. All slopes in <br />the affected azea will be constructed as shown on the Mining Plan, Exhibit D. Temporary <br />stock piles for reclamation will have minimum slopes of 2 horiz.-1 vert. feet. No blasting will <br />be part of the mining or reclamation plan. No structures or facilities will be placed in the <br />affected areas. The proposed mining area lies within Animas River mile 77 thru 78.2 in the <br />Animas Valley. The pit boundaries are a minimum of 300 feet from the banks of the Animsvs <br />River. Bank armament, installed and approved by U.S. Arrny Corp of Engineers, is shown <br />on the attached maps and illustrations. Gradients on the affected and surrounding areas <br />average 1-2% in a Y< radius and beyond the affected azea. <br />
