Cottony <br />Division DireROr <br />Re: Notice ofPre-hearing Conference and Notice of Formal Public Hearing for the Colona Pit, "at°ral Rewurce rrnstee <br />112c Permit No. M-1994-005, Amendment AM-2 Application. <br />Dear Party: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) has received timely written objections to <br />the amendment application for the 112c permit for the Colona Pit, as named above. <br />A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on Friday, May 4, 2007, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Those <br />wishing to participate must be present at the Montrose County Administrative Office Conference Room, 161 <br />South Townsend (located at the corner of Townsend and South 2nd St.) in Montrose, Colorado, or at the <br />Division's main office in Denver, Colorado (see address in letterhead, above). <br />Ms. Sandy Brown will preside as the Pre-hearing Conference Officer, via telephone from the Division's Denver <br />office. Ms. Brown will ask the parties to assist her in preparing apre-hearing order to propose to the Mined Land <br />Reclamation board (Board) that identifies the parties, issues, possible witnesses and exhibits for the hearing, and <br />an estimate of the time needed for the hearing. She will also discuss the Division's review process, as well as the <br />rights and responsibilities of the parties. <br />Staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Board. The hearing on the amendment <br />application for the Colona Pit will occur during the May 16-17, 2007 Boazd meeting at 1313 Sherman St., Room <br />318, Denver, Colorado. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be <br />considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard.
