We have deep
concerns for the wild life and impact that polluted run off would have on the Arkansas
River.
We sit atop a fragile aquifer and blasting in an open pit operation has the potential to
damage it further and destroy numerous deep wells that we residents depend on.
Further, Holcim, Inc., as a mine operator is a notorious polluter, who, according to the
EPA runs some of the dirtiest mining operations in the country.
Please, for the health and integrity of our valley, deny this application.
Sincerely,
~~f~~~ ~~~ ~~- ~~~~
Leslie W Olson and Peggy J Olson
c/
Cc: Fremont County Planning and Zoning Department
°µ~i977-~y7
~~ ~
615 Macon Avenue
Canon City, CO 81212
