The Bjorka are the principals of the Big <br />Sky Ranch, LLC, the title Owners of a percol within the Reaches at Fiva Fines. The Bjorke wish to <br />individually reinforce tho comments and concerns raised by The Ranches at Five Piaee, and adjacent <br />property owners, and formally do eo by way of this letter. <br />The Bjork's own property in Tha Ranohea at Five Pine Mesa. The Bjork property is in close <br />proximity to the gravel pit operated by King Mountain Gravel, LLC ("King Mountain's that is at issue <br />is the above-referenced proceeding. The Bjork's wish to expre88 their COIICetna t0 the Pemut <br />Conversion Application. <br />If the proposed expansion is approved, the value of their lead and their use and er{joyment of it <br />will be adversely affected. T'ho Colorado Division of Wildlife has stated that'"fhare is an extremely <br />high probability that signiScant negative impacts will result to spaoiea of special concern, interest, or <br />economic importance associated with those habitats found on the proposed site or those properties <br />adjacent to the proposed site" if the gravel pit is approved. The Colorado Division of Wildlife has <br />stated that `"fhera is an extremely high probability that aigttificaat aogativa impacts will result to <br />species of special concern, interest, or economic importance associated with those habitats found on <br />the proposed site or those properties adjacent to the proposed silo" if the gravel pit is oxpaaded. The <br />land is used for recreational purposes, including hiking, hunting and horseback riding. This land is in a <br />prime wildlife corridor. Hunting revenue supports much of the local economy, The reduction of that <br />recreational use will have a related negative economic effect. <br />The Bjork property is located in Egeria Park, a Mghly-valued eceaic area that is enjoyed by guests <br />from around the country and in fact around the world, for its wildlife, aesthatio beauty, and ecological <br />
