Posey, Acting SeniorEnvironrnental Protection Specialist Qv'~C. ~x N NP <br />RE: Chaffee County, Pit No 6, Permit No. M-1978-192, CN-1 <br />Please be advised that on October 28, 2002, Chaffee County, whose address and telephone number are <br />102 Crestone Ave., Salida, CO 81201; (719) 539-6961, filed an application to convert M-1978-192, Pit No 6, a <br />I10(o) Limited Impact Coristniction Materials Permit to a 112(c) Regular Construction Materials Permit. The <br />mining and reclamation operation is located at or near Section 30, Township 145, Range 78W, 6th Prime <br />Meridian, in Chaffee County. The application decision is scheduled for January 27, 2003. <br />A copy of the apphcation is available for review at the Chaffee County Clerk & Recorder's office and at the office <br />of the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203. <br />If you desire to make comments or objections, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days of the date of the <br />newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the Division. You should contact <br />the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not rreoeive your comments or any objection by the end <br />of the public comment period, the Office will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br />
