Application of solvent to the equipment will be completed in a manner that minimizes potential for <br />exposure to workers. <br />4. Follow Mine health and safety procedures. <br />VI. Procedure <br />1. Follow Mine health and safety procedures. <br />2. Don personal protective equipment (P1'E). <br />3. Cleaning of reusable sampling equipment (e.g., scoops, mixing bowls, spatulas) will follow the <br />decontamination procedures presented below: <br />• wash with non-phosphate detergent and distilled water; <br />• rinse with distilled water; <br />• rinse with solvent (nitric acid); <br />• rinse with distilled water; and <br />• allow to air dry and wrap in aluminum foil. <br />4. Cleaning/decontamination will be conducted in labeled plastic containers that will be transported to each <br />sampling location. These containers will have leak-proof covers and will also be used to collect all <br />decontamination rinsate. Plastic sheeting will be placed on the surface beneath the containers. <br />5. Remove PPE. <br />Cleaning Procedures for Large Equipment (if applicable) <br />1. Follow Mine health and safety procedures. <br />2. Wash all lazge equipment with ahigh-pressure water wash, using a brush as deemed necessary to remove <br />any particles. <br />VII. Waste Management <br />Equipment decontamination rinsate and disposable materials (PPE, etc.) will be managed as specified in the <br />Mine Health and Safety procedures. <br />VIII. Data Recording and Management <br />1. Equipment cleaning and decontamination will be noted in the field logbook. <br />2. An inventory of the solvents brought on site and used and removed from the site will be maintained in the <br />files. <br />3.
