Box 4440
Durango, Colorado 81302
Attention: Mr. Dave Dillon
Subject: Dillon Pit
Logs of Test Holes
Durango, Colorado
Mr. Dillon,
PN:D04046MT
This letter presents the logs of the soils exposed in the backhoe-excavated test holes at the
subject project. The test holes were excavated prior to our February 20, 2004 site visit.
We discussed the site soils conditions and any testing requirements for the project with Mr. Bob
Oswald, State of Colorado Division of Mineral and Geology. Based on our conversations with
Mr. Oswald we understand that no specific testing of the site topsoil materials is required at this
time. Mr, Oswald requested only a confirmation that there was topsoil material present at the
site.
We observed about one (1) to one and one-half (1'/2) feet of organic silt soil materials in our test
borings. Although we do not provide specific evaluation of materials for agricultural purposes,
the organic and silt content of the shallow soils may qualify for fopsoil materials for most uses.
We observed various layers and mixtures of sand cobbles and gravel below the silt soils in the
test holes.
Please contact us if you have any questions, or if we maybe of additional service
P.O.
