~. - _:~, COMMERCE CITY Department of Public Works May 31, 2002 Mr. Les Ewegen 124tH Estates Partners 4545 East 60tH Avenue, Suite 202 Commerce City, Colorado 80022 Re: 124 Estates Partners, Proposed Mining Activities Dear Mr. Ewegen: I have reviewed the information you have provided regarding the mining operation, in relation to the truck movements, access locations and the left and right turn lanes on Highway 85. Your proposed access request is approved subject to the following requirements: 1) The right-in only access shall be located a minimum of 100 feet west from the Highway 85 edge of pavement. Adams County Planning also refers to this location as the Lot 2 Corrigan Subdivision access point. 2) The full movement access shall be located 550 feet +/- west from the centerline of Highway 85. Adams County Planning also refers this location as being east of the northerly projected eastern alignment of the Curdy property line located at 11000 East 120tH Avenue. 3) The northbound Highway 85 left turn lane and the southbound Highway 85 acceleration lane shall be improved to meet CDOT standards prior to the commencement of operations. 4) East 120tH Avenue shall be paved between the western access and Highway 85 in both directions. A pavement design report is required to be submitted for review and approval. 5) All work required shall be completed prior to the commencement of operations. 6) The 2 access points are approved for a time period not to exceed 18 months from the date of this letter. After that time period the eastem access shall be removed and restored to pre-existing conditions (i.e. no access point) and the western access shall revert to residential access.
