Box 3268
Montrose, Colorado 81}02
Re: Haldorson Pit, (Two Feathers) Permit No. M-2003-037, Technical Revision TR-02, Approval.
Dear Mr. Hunt:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has reviewed Sky Ute's submission of a Technical
Revision to revise the Mine Plan and allow a raw water line to be stubbed into the site. The TR was
discussed at length during an on-site visit in late June. The waterline traverses property owned by Sky
Ute to the permit boundary and has both mining and post mining uses. Menoken Water has submitted a
letter of support and approval for the water use. As for the rephrasing of the planned direction of
mining, staff agrees that mining Phase 13 concurrently with B-1, B-2 and 9 is probably more economical
and prudent. Therefore, staff is pleased to inform Skv Ute that TR-02 is ap rp owed.
Due to the fact that the waterline has no impact on the bond and the mining of Phase 13 is sometime off,
staff is electing to forgo a reclamation liability recalculation until the next scheduled inspection.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone
no. 970-241-1117.
Sincerely,
G.
