Wellington Downs Pit;
Permit No. M-1995-035
Deaz Ms. Crosby:
.~'~.;.>
~:~:._
OCT D 1: ~~7
pie ~ ~
On behalf of our client, Connell Resources, Ina (CRI), please accept the following technical revision
information for reclamation permit M-1995-035, Wellington Downs Pit. The technical revision is to
provide updated information regazding reclamation plans and activities at the Wellington Downs site.
The. Wellington- Downs Pit is located approximately P/z miles west of Timnath in Larimer County,
Colorado. The Wellington Downs Pit was originally permitted for sand and gravel mining in 1996
and includes approximately 109.5 acres. Mining at the site has been completed and reclamation of the pit
was started in 2004.
The operator would like to request a revision to the original Reclamation Plan which was submitted
showing that trees and shrubs would be planted as part of the landscape, plan. There is concern that trees
planted on top ofthe berm would likely not survive without a water source. 'The reclaimed area will be
seeded using the seed mix as shown on the attached drawing.
The operator would also like to request that the temporary private driveway entrance. remain on site
permanently.. The driveway is located on the north side of County Road 36 approximately 950 feet west
of the east permit property boundary. The asphalt driveway will be approximately 25 feet wide. A 12-
foot gated entrance will be provided.
If you have any questions regazding this technical revision, please call me at (303) 452-6611.
Sincerely,
Ap lega~e Group, Inc.
~-£,r
Kallie Bauer, P.E.
Project Engineer
Enclosures
KEB/ta
cc: John Warren, Connell Resources, Inc.
AG File No. 02-191
N:\02191 ConneaMioe Planning &Permitting\Disciplines (Technical)V.1ine Planning\003 Wellington Downs\TR Augus2007V,ug07 Wellington TR letter.dac
_ 1499 West 120th Avenue, Suite 200 (303) 452-6611 ~ Fax (303) 452-2759
- - Denver,,COlorado 80234-2759 - _. www:applegategroup.com -
-.., -..
