Provision # 7 of those conclusions stated:
"Since three years will pass before any mining is contemplated in the amended area
in question, new reclamation information must be submitted prior to posting the warranty
in order that the Division may reevaluate the warranty amount to ensure it is still
sufficient to guaranty reclamation"
Mine plan and reclamation drawings for the amended area were revised in February
2003 to reflect updated topgraphic mapping in the area. American Gypsum's consultant
Knight Piesold forwarded the revised drawing set to the Division with a cover letter to
Allen Sorenson dated September 19, 2003.
The revised drawings merely reflect more accurate mapping and there is no actual
change to the mine and reclamation plan submitted to the Division in the permit amendment
application. Please advise me if this information will meet the needs of the Division in
finalizing reclamation bonding for the amended area.
Steve Onorofskie
Mine Manager
American Gypsum Company
1
